Borovets in the Snow

Our ski party has just returned from its annual visit to the snow in Bulgaria.  This year the group stayed at the resort of Borovets which was very popular with both the pupils and staff.  Once again a fantastic time was had by all and special thanks to Mr Armstrong and Mrs McGarry for organising an amazing adventure.

"This has definitely been a week to remember.  My first time skiing was amazing and I probably never would have stopped falling over if it hadn't been for our ski instructor who was really helpful.  The hotel was amazing too and the food was delicious.  Iwould definitely recommend skiing.  I will certainly be back on the slopes next year."
(Michael - Year 12)

"It was a great week. My first time on a plane and my first time to Bulgaria. I was a little bit scared at the start but we got a great teacher named George.  He taught us the basics of skiing and I had lots of fun. I would definitely come back to Borovets again!”
(Megan – Year 9)

Randox Health Grand National Trophy unveiled at CIC

On Tuesday 21st February, we were privileged to welcome the Randox Health Tour to the College as they unveiled, for the first time, the new Randox Health Grand National Trophy. We were also joined on the morning by pupils and staff from St Joseph’s Primary School, Crumlin Integrated Primary School and Gaelscoil Ghleann Darach as well as representatives from all of the main political parties. The Head Boy, Brian Savage, was specially chosen to unveil the trophy at our special assembly in front of a packed hall whilst Head Girl, Hannah Storey, made a special presentation of her recently completed painting, to the company.

Mrs Mcgarry reported, “We were absolutely thrilled that the children of each of our schools in Crumlin were the first to see the Randox Health Grand National Trophy. Horse racing is such a popular sport in Northern Ireland and many of our pupils watch the Grand National at home with their families. To be able to share in the excitement leading up to the race is a fantastic opportunity for them. We are very proud that the company, which is just down the road from us, is partnering with the world’s greatest race and that Dr Fitzgerald chose Crumlin Integrated College to be the first school to see this magnificent trophy.”

We have a "Good School" - Confirmed!

"In the third follow-up inspection held in March 2014, Crumlin Integrated College was evaluated as Good...A sustaining improvement inspection was conducted in December 2016...CIC continues to demonstrate the capacity to identify and bring about improvement in the interest of all the pupils!" ETI January 2017.
