Class of 2013 Leavers' Assembly
On Thursday 16th May, Year 12 pupils, staff and parents gathered in the assembly hall to say, “Farewell”. Mrs McGarry welcomed everyone to the occasion followed by Deputy Head Boy, Conor Reid, who read his own special message of memories and hopes for the future to our GCSE pupils.
The opening speeches were followed by a musical item. Amy Barron recited the poem “Your Day has Arrived” accompanied by Shannon Moses and Martha McCallin on flutes.
Recently the Friends of Crumlin Integrated Collage held a fashion Show in the school to raise money for the Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke. A cheque for £764.60 was presented to Stephen O’Brien (Area Services Manager) by two of our Year 12 pupils, Rachel and Robyn Thompson.
The pupils certainly enjoyed the video presentation entitled “Memories”. This video show looked back at the first days of our Year 12 pupils when they had just started their education at the school before finishing with photos of their recent formal.
Mr Smyth, Vice Principal, presented our leavers with commemorative certificates before adding his own good wishes and farewells to the pupils. Then Head Boy, David Graham, and Head Girl, Shannon Moses, made a presentation to Mr Smyth thanking him for all his support and guidance over the last five years and also in recognition of his 18 years service to the school.
The afternoon was brought to a close with the serving of refreshments giving everyone a chance to say their “Farewells” and “Good Lucks” for the future.
