Crumlin Pupils meet “Face to Face” with Mary Peters

On Thursday 14th December pupils from Crumlin Integrated College, accompanied by Mr Jamieson and Mrs Camlin, had the privilege of attending a conference at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast to celebrate the FACE project (Family and Community Engagement).

The FACE project is an exciting and innovative flagship project for Co-operation Ireland. Many of our pupils who live in Aldergrove are currently involved in this fanastic project. We were treated to a banquet of food and many of the pupils including Mr Jamieson, enjoyed second and third helpings and met many honoured guests including Dame Mary Peters DBE, who is a great supporter of the project. We even had the unique opportunity of having our photograph taken with her. She seemed pleased when Ryan Rea asked her if she had won her Gold Medal in the 2012 Olympics.

All in all, it was a fantastic trip, and we eagerly await the next stage of this project.
