Library News - March 2012
The library is now being widely used by pupils of all ages. The introduction of a ‘Homework Club’ has been a valuable addition to the library’s services. Under the watchful eye of Miss Patterson, pupils needing that little bit of help with their homework can be accommodated.
As our librarian is currently part-time, and to ensure continuity in our opening hours, a parent volunteer Mrs Spiers, has been ably manning the library two lunchtimes each week. This means that the Library is now open for use each lunchtime five days a week.
We recently held a Valentine’s Day competition in which students were encouraged to write an acrostic poem. The winner of a £5.00 voucher, to be spent at our Book Fair, was Sophie Ross in Year 9.
