Medals, Muskets and Trenches

Friday 5th September saw a group of 21 Year 9 and 10 pupils visit the World War 1 commemoration exhibition in Glenavy. Pupils experienced life on the western front, through a variety of sources including: a World War I re-enactor, historical artefacts, a media presentation and  finishing with a walk through a World War I trench!
As part of the Key Stage 3 History curriculum, the pupils will be able to put to good use their experiences of the exhibition.
A huge thank you to the event organisers who helped history to come alive in the classroom.
