Outstanding GCSE Results Maintained

This has been a very successful year for the college culminating in excellent GCSE results which once again exceeded last year’s results and this year’s 5A* - C school target.  Extremely impressive results were attained in most departments, particularly Double Award Science, French, History, Art and Design and Geography who all achieved 100% A*-C grades. There was much and delight from the parents and pupils on Thursday morning as envelopes were opened and results revealed.  Some Year 12 parents commented:

“The staff at Crumlin Integrated College was so helpful and encouraging to my daughter, Sophie Ross throughout the past five years.  Wouldn’t change sending her here for the world!  I am so delighted she passed all of her GCSE’s.  Thank you to all at Crumlin Integrated College.”

“Crumlin Integrated College has been wonderful.  The school wraps their arms around you as soon as you step through the door.  Every member of staff gives your child 100% care and attention…Crumlin Integrated College is a family, where every child matters and where they are given the chance to shine.  Good luck for the future.”

“Through all the years Caroline was at the school, the staff gave her encouragement and confidence.  She really loved the school and got on well with all the staff.  She wanted to complete her A levels at this school rather than move to another.”

The Senior Leader, Mrs Lynda McGarry, expressed her delight and appreciation at the excellent results and how the school has, once again, sustained very pleasing results, “These results reinforce the quality of the education offered at the school and confirm the Education Minister’s decision to retain post primary provision in Crumlin.  I wish our young people every success for the future; they leave Crumlin Integrated College in the knowledge that they received a top quality education.”

Mr Tommy Ross, Chairman of the Board of Governors concluded, “I am very pleased with the exam results and I would particularly like to congratulate all of the pupils and thank the staff for their commitment and good work in leading the pupils to these successes.  This bodes well for the future of the school in the Crumlin community.”
