Stepping into Spring

In March, Crumlin Flower Club held their annual charity event in the school.  This year, Alan Beattie from Clogher entertained a packed audience by his fantastic and stunning array of floral arrangements.

This year, the club chose the Alzheimer’s Society as their charity and Whitney Rozelle, a volunteer from the Antrim and Ballymena branch received a cheque for £1200.00 to further the work of the charity.  Pierce Slaney, Head Boy, also presented a cheque for £55.00 on behalf the school. This money was raised through a Valentine’s Day raffle.

Light refreshments, kindly donated by Tesco Crumlin, and the ladies of the Flower Club were well received at the end of the evening.  Once again, Jackie Mitchell, community Champion at Tesco offered her support.

At the end of the evening, Alan’s beautiful flowers were raffled much to the delight of the audience and some lucky supporters left with only one dilemma, how they were going to transport them home?

The Club expressed their appreciation to everyone who pledged their support, but especially to Tina Williamson, Caretaker of the school, Mrs McGarry, Senior Leader and pupils of the college for their efforts towards what was a truly inspirational evening.
