Surpassing Expectations

Once again, this has been a very successful year for the college culminating in pupils achieving a good set of results in line with the school’s 5A* - C predictions. Extremely impressive results were attained in most departments, particularly Double Award Science, Single Award Science, French, History, Art and Design and Music who all achieved 100% A*-C grades. There was much delight from the parents and pupils on Thursday morning as envelopes were opened and results revealed. A Year 12 parent commented:

“I am delighted at J.P.’s success and for the success of all the pupils who surpassed all expectations. Their results are second to none and a credit to the pupils and their teachers. These results open the doors to a bright future for everyone. While at school they were determined to succeed and supported each other on the journey and will be sorry to leave the College. J.P. is looking forward to pursuing a career in engineering, sponsored by Canyon, the company he worked for during his summer holidays.”

The Senior Leader, Mrs Lynda McGarry, expressed her delight and appreciation at the College’s achievement, “These results reinforce the quality of the education offered at the College. I wish our young people every success for the future; they leave Crumlin Integrated College in the knowledge that they received a well-rounded education.”

Mr Tommy Ross, Chairman of the Board of Governors concluded, “I am very pleased with the exam results and I would particularly like to congratulate all of the pupils and thank the staff for their commitment and good work in leading the pupils to these successes. This bodes well for the future of the school in the Crumlin community.”
