The Crumlinwealth Games

Four times the children - Four times the noise - Four times the fun!

On Wednesday 11th June 169 children from Straidhaven P.S. Crumlin Integrated P.S, Lower Ballinderry P.S. & St Joseph’s P.S. (Crumlin), attended the ‘Crumlinwealth Games’ day at Crumlin Integrated College.

The College extended a welcome to the children who participated in a round robin of events including – Netball, Hockey, Athletics, Rounders and a visit from the Donkey Sanctuary, ending with a Knock-Out competition in a Tug of war in which St Joseph’s emerged victorious.

At lunch time, our visitors were treated to a Bar-B-Q with drinks and ices, to round off the days events.

Later in the day the pupils of Crumlin Integrated College also took part in an inter house Tug-Of-War in which there were several stewards enquiries, some ecumenical intervention in assisting the weaker teams in the flock. The eventual runaway winners were ‘LENNYMORE’.

The Friends’ of Crumlin Integrated College wish to thank all who took part in making this a special day. We hope that our visitors had fun and had an opportunity to see and enjoy our school. We look forward to welcoming some of them back as pupils, so they can then help us repeat the fun next year.
