The Thrills and Spills of Bansko

At 6.15am on Sunday 10 March an excited party of Crumlin Integrated pupils, two teachers and twenty associate friends assembled at Belfast International airport ready to board the Jet flight to Bulgaria. Such is the popularity of Bansko, this is now the fifth year of skiing in this beautiful small town. After a long flight and transfer journey, we eventually landed at Hotel Banderitsa, our home for the week! The snow conditions were good, the skiing amazing, the après ski fun and the behaviour of our pupils OUTSTANDING!

Pupils’ comments:

“I’ve found the ski trip an amazing time for me. Seeing Bansko town has been interesting. The skiing has been a truly unique experience; there’s an unbelievable adrenaline rush down the slopes. You pick up the skills really quickly, and it feels great when you can zoom down yourself. The company has been fantastic, and I’d certainly go again and recommend it to anyone who’s thinking about going.”

“Skiing is a really memorable experience. Very enjoyable. I’ve been two years now you progressing so fast, really fun and enjoyable experience. Instructors are very good and top class skiers and make you feel so welcome and comfortable on the slopes.

Bansko is quite a nice place with lots to do including bowling ice skating etc – you’re never bored. Would like to come back. Absolutely amazing!”
